I just found out that I got tagged. I said, "Yea, I got tagged!"
Uh, what is tagged??
Okay, I figured it out, and here goes:
1. WHAT WERE YOU DOING 10 YEARS AGO
Good question! I was probably getting totals ready for tax time, getting ready for the spring bazaar, and helping Bobbi get ready for summer at Ricks College. (To be honest, I had to look up some old receipts to see if I was getting ready for Toby & Bobbi's weddings 10 years ago, but that was only 9 years ago)
2. 5 THINGS ON MY TO DO LIST
Make dips for the bazaar that starts on Wednesday.
Laundry......mostly ironing Jay's shirts. It's a good thing he has lots of shirts, that's for sure.
Make treats to take to Summers'. Brenda had surgery, and I'd like to take something over.
Look at the music for March for church. I had the chorister pick the songs this quarter, and she picked a couple of unfamiliar tunes, if you know what I mean. Is anybody familiar with #82, For All the Saints? I'm sure not. The accompanyment to that one is scaring me. Does anybody have anything going on that would make it necessary for me to attend church in your ward on March 30th. Please, anyone.
My 5th thing to do today is doing this blog. I know I have been an utter dissapointment to Audrey.
3. SNACKS I ENJOY
Hershey's nuggets chocolate w/almonds (the ones in the gold paper) There's a guy at the temple that offers those once in awhile. Great guy!
Chips & Salsa
I kind of like most chips actually
Vanilla Wafers (Jay just got me on those. We liket he minis)
Licorice....in emergencies, I'll even eat black
York Peppermint Patties
Snickers W/almonds (this is a new one for me, too. Before that it was almond joys. Hey, maybe I really like almonds)
I'm a terrible snacker. I just love it though.
4. WHAT WOULD I DO IF I SUDDENLY BECAME A BILLIONAIRE?
I'm not sure about that. I read an article about what has happened to people that have won the lottery, and it's not good. But, if by chance I had this experience, I think I would help anyone in my family that needed help, first. Then I would do some great random acts of service. That would really be fun. Then I would call someone that knows what to do with money and have them take care of it for me, so I wouldn't do dumb stuff and end up not having a place to live or something when I'm 90.
5. 3 BAD HABITS
I have a lot more than three bad habits, but I'll try to pick the top ones. Number one: I stay up too late, making it hard for me to get up early.
Number two: When it's time for me to leave to be where I need to be on time.....I do one more chore, making myself "just a little late". I hate that.
Number three: I am not quite careful enough driving. I may be a hazard to other drivers and to whoever is with me in the car.
(I'm not counting this one, but Jay says a bad habit of mine is itching my throat by making a weird noise back there kind of by my tonsils. I don't even do it anymore, but there are family members that do. You know who you are!)
6. SOME THINGS PEOPLE DON'T KNOW ABOUT ME
When I plan on going to bed, I'll turn on the TV just to see what I DVR'd that day. I always end up watching at least one episode of King of Queens and maybe some of Gilmore Girls. I believe I have seen all of the Gilmore Girls, so I can skim those pretty fast, but I haven't maxed out King of Queens yet. I also think that King of Queens is kind of gross sometimes, so maybe I should go back to the Everybody Loves Raymond shows.
I hardly ever get to my ironing and may have some shirts waiting to be ironed that I've grown out of.
I haven't really cleaned our den since Cassie helped me do it really good in the summer of 2005. (She cleaned out our storage room last summer, and everyone says that I need to publicly thank her!)
I go clear to town at least three times a week with no radio or anything playing. I guess I like quiet time. I keep thinking I should get some books on tape or something, but libraries scare me. I'm too afraid to check anything out because I'm no good at getting things back in time. I have only rented movies at those places twice in my life. Late return both times.
Okay, I did it. I'm not sure I'm supposed to pass this on, but I tag Becky Simmons and Geri Egbert.

YAAAA!! No more empty blog!! I do have to say that Zoey will try to make that goofy throat noise and when I ask her what she's doing she tells me she's trying to be like Audrey and Bobbi!! Plus I love the picture of you and Jay... I can't wait to show Zo what Grandma and Papa looked like when they got married!!
I can't believe it, you even posted a photo! That's pretty cool because I can't even figure it out, unless Audrey is here. As for skipping your church March 30th, just tell them you'll be out of town for Spring Break and hope they won't ask you where you're going. You'll have to go somewhere so you won't be lying, so get planning.
I, too, loved the picture of you and Jay. I love the wishing well in the background too. I don't know why I'm poking fun about wedding decorations when I had loaves of decoupaged bread on the tables for my centerpieces. The seventies were great weren't they?
Congratulations on your first blog post. I am so proud of you. Welcome to the blog world!
The itching throat thing - my mom must be related to you. Mags does it too and it drives me bonkers - maybe it's because I don't know how.
Mom, this post brought tears to my eyes! Not only cuz you did one BUT cuz it was a DAMN good one too! I think you are funny! (now i totally know where i get it)
Thanks for taking time out of your shows, baking treats for ward members, and mini bazaar to humor your kids! Sure love ya!
Hey, I think I might have to play for choir on March 30th.... where ever you go can I come??
(Just kidding, I'm getting a better attitude about it...promise)
and by the way, I'm impressed with your skills--I'm learning new skills too at the BYU-Idahos
You (and Geri) are more than welcome to come here for Spring Break on the 30th!
Now I know why I am an almond addict, but I can proudly say that I DO NOT MAKE YUCKY NOISES WITH MY THROAT!!!
Um....Could you PLEASE bring Audrey to me here in AZ to enjoy some Arizona sunshine and GOOD company (along with good eats)?? My 30th Bday is the 29th of this month, and if you come then I could also get out of playing the Organ in our ward (something I don't really know how to play).
OK, we love King of Queens and yes I sometimes have to change the channel *unfortunately* when my 7 yr old is in the room. As for the throat noise, I can't believe it, I do that quite often to scratch my throat/ears and it drives my husband nuts.
I can now see why I like Audrey so much, and she's right I can see where she gets her Great sense of HUMOR.
Audrey-why is it that your swearing brings me such JOY! I don't think it's supposed to. Sorry for the novel. GREAT POST!
