Credit Cards.........Gotta Love 'Em

Yesterday was my day to fix some credit card problems. No, I'm not a victim of identity theft, (although Bobbi and Geri have experienced that lately). Somehow, I get these companies that charge my card for who knows what. I was dealing with 6 of them, one of them from last May. (they wouldn't do anything about that one) Most of them happend after we ordered one thing, and I guess that signed you up for another. Sometimes I don't notice these charges right away, or I'll go online, fill out the form, and think that it's fixed............BUT let me tell you, unless you've spoken to a person, it's NOT fixed. Thus, the hard part. Getting a person. I listened to every kind of music you could think of, but the worst was the HARD ROCK. Not kidding, Hard Rock was the background music. When I finally remembered that Millie said she had her phone on speaker phone, it became a little less frustrating, even though it did take me 4 hours. My longest call was 48 minutes. (I did figure out how to get it off of speaker phone. You just push the button again)
Then, when I got the mail, I get a note that County Home magazine is cancelled. Yes, one of those magazines that I have a subscription for until 2013.
Okay, I'm going Visiting Teaching this morning, and I'm going to be in a better mood today.

What a pain! However, never cancel your a credit card because it'll hurt your credit score. That's what Suze Orman said. :)

I can't believe Country Home is cancelled. I will say I thought they made a dumb move a few years ago when they changed the size and format of the magazine just to add that strip of paper on the side of all the pages that looked like different fabrics. Did it say you were out the money or are they going to refund you? Sorry about the wait you had on the phone...so frustrating.

We had to change our credit card last month ourselves cuz of a bit of fraud! Wish those freaks would spend more time figuring out how to earn a living rather than trying to steal ours!
Hey, can I have some more old mags for my salon... the ones I have seem a bit stale now... thanks!

In answer to Millie's question; Country Home offered me a subscription to Better Homes & Gardens. They offered Sylvia Ladies Home Journal. They didn't say why they were calling it quits, though.
Sure, Audrey, I'll bring you some more magazines. I seem to have another stack.

Better Homes & Gardens??!!??!! Ladies Home Journal???!?!?!?!!
They offered me Family Circle. I wonder if I can swap for one of the other ones.

Oh ya, sorry about your long telephone music day. Yuck.
