During a purchase at the store, I always kind of look away or just talk real quiet if the message on the credit card machine says "denied". Just kind of scary and a little bit creepy. Yesterday, the driver for the water company tried to get gas (at 3 stations) and each time the machine (thank goodness it wasn't a person) said "denied". When Toby called to see what the matter could be, I tried to think really hard if I had paid that bill. Pretty sure that I did. Well, I didn't. I had filed it as if it were paid, but it wasn't. I don't think I'm one of those people....I'm just losing my mind possibly. I'll have a different outlook on the "denied"

Now, I'm not sure Jenny will believe me about the bank payment notice for the Distributing company getting lost in the mail.....thus a late payment there, too. Going to the health food store for help with memory...tomorrow!!

Yeah, I don't look at people like they are poor and/or crazy when their card comes up DENIED because sometimes it happens even if you do have money in the bank. My credit card once put a hold on my card just to see if I'd notice and call them to tell them that my card didn't work. I guess it was just a random check. It makes you feel a little white trashish when it happens though.
Thanks for the reminder. I need to see if I paid my JC Penney bill. I thought about it just before I went to sleep last night, but was too tired to get up and write it down. Whew!
