I love the 4th of July. Even when we just stay home all day, I love the 4th. Something about seeing a huge American flag waving in the wind is just exhilerating, and can choke me up in a minute. Even when times are uncertain, I think we all feel an incredible love for our country. Today's newspaper quotes Mark Twain: "Patriotism is supporting your country all the time, and your government when it deserves it."

I love that quote. It is perfect because right now I don't think our government is too great but I still love our country. I think during times like these it is best to separate our feelings of government and country. It makes me feel a little more patriotic. Yay for Mark Twain.
