Anyway, yesterday his stomach tube slipped out about 1" after the stitches holding it in place broke. So........... when the doctor saw that, he offered to take out the tube 10 days early. Jay was thinking YEA! Of course I covered my eyes with both hands and later wished that I would have plugged my ears instead. The suction sound that tube made was pretty gross. Jay said that it stung pretty good, and is still really tender, but it's so nice to be rid of the TUBE. He still protects it as he does certain things, but then he did have the lovely thing for almost 7 weeks.
He saw his Doctor's partner today, so he'll still see his regular doctor in 10 days to see what's next. So far so good. He's still weak and can't stand for very long, but he's doing super well the doctor says. Oh, and the doctor doesn't really know why his shoulders hurt. He told him to exercise his arms a little and continue with the hot rice packs. We finally thought of that two nights ago, and that works real well.Forward and onward!

Sounds like good news again. So glad to hear it and I hope his shoulder quits hurting. Pain is a pain!
What great news. Slow and steady wins the race, right?
