Anybody for a colonoscopy??

Okay.....so today I go in for my colonoscopy. Not that bad, guys. Not that bad at all. I promise, I really don't know why I've put it off for three years. I even had an appointment in 2006 and in 2007, and pulled a no show.

My Dr. is about as tall as I am, so I figured, just how much damage can he do? Well, he didn't do any damage at all. Yea. I got it done, and I'm clean! I'm so clean that he said that I may not ever have to have another one. Yippee!!!

I may should have stayed home from church yesterday during the "prep" day, but that's a whole other story. Not sharing that today. But, by all means....if you are over 50 years old, go do it! (Just remember that the day before that you'll have to "go" all day long!!) Go do it and avoid any trouble later on.

I'm still saying Yea for me!!!

Great looking blog. I love your background. And good job on the colonoscopy. Those things are always seem so much worse in anticipation than they really turn out to be. That's how skydiving and getting my, as Aunt Grace puts it, "Under the Hood Check" were for me anyway. Luckily I still have a few years before colonoscopy time.

Mom, please tell me that that fuzzy head of hair isn't yours?!? I sure am proud of ya! I think I may have had a mini colonoscopy when I first moved to Utah. I went during my lunch break and when I went back to work, I felt so strange that I didn't hear a word my clients said the whole 3 hours of cutting hair... I wasn't aware that he was going to help himself! I too am glad I have a few more years to recover from that for the real deal!

I'm proud of you for getting that done! I'm glad the doctor found no problems either. I love glove picture too. It reminds me of my favorite movie, Father of the Bride Part Two, when George Banks almost has a colonoscopy by accident. "DO I KNOW YOU?"

When should we expect your next post about 'cleaning out' your system? Did you have to leave the organ during Sacrament Meeting? Glad your guts look good!

Hurray for you! I still have not had one, so I'm always glad when people say they're not that bad. And thanks for NOT sharing details about the prep day!

Glad you got it done and that "it's all good!!" Knowing how the prep goes I can hear the background music of you at church... "gotta go, gotta go, gotta go right now! gotta go, gotta goooo!!"
