It's Mom's Birthday

Today is Mom's birthday and Ellen had a fun idea. Ellen, Millie, Grace, Me & Mom went to the Rexburg temple this morning, then to lunch at a little ice cream/milk & cheese shop in Rexburg. Then she made arrangements to go to Grandma Spaulding's old house in Burton. A couple that came to Idaho from Pennsylvania live there, and love the old house. They let us go through the whole house and even baked cookies for us. The old silver radiators are still in the living room!

Mom is such a good mom, and we love celebrating her birthday with her. She's 82 yers old and still so active and such an example to all of us in her service, church work, and her goodness. One of my favorite things about Mom is her love of parties. We've had a few lately, and she is always the life of the party. She's just good!

Happy Birthday to you Mom.
We love you and are so glad you're our mom.

Happy Birthday Fat Head!! Ok for all of you that are thinking that is the rudest thing to say about my sweet little Gma, please know that it truly a special little term that she taught me and my boys (mainly my boys!)
Looks and sounds like you guys had a GREAT day! It was probably a perfect day for her, getting to be at the place she loves most, the temple, with the people she loves most, her daughters, and then going back to see a bit of her past!
Hope it was a good one GMA!

That was a superfun day. I'm glad Ellen had the idea and that I got to go. I love you Mom, and sorry I thought you were 83. 82 is way younger. You'll always be young at heart!
