Days like this just make me happy. There's sunshine, we got the garden planted, (kind of) the yard is green, lunch is cooking.....life is good. I truly love summer in Idaho. It's worth the rest of what we deal with. We have 12 flowering trees in our yard, and they are all in bloom right now. That's not even counting the lilacs, who are a little late. Jay really wants us to start thinking of moving from here, closer to town, but I just don't know if I can do it. I love it here, even if it does cost $20.00 to drive to town & back. I'll think about that tomorrow.

Well listen to you Miss Scarlet O'hara....
Where else could you have a full on frisbee lesson in your backyard??
Not just anywhere.
I do to love summer in Idaho too, minus the allergies! Your garden looks great! I now see where Geri gets hre writing skills.
I am happy that you get a litle break to enjoy your favorite time of the year!
I think that your backyard is one of the prettiest and most peaceful places during the summer!! I will surely miss it when you DO move closer to town. Tell Dad good job on such a nice yard---and you too.
Your yard really did look beautiful when I was out there the other night. I really don't remember a year when the flowering trees were so beautiful. You can spot their bright pink a mile away out in the country. Even along the freeway exit to the airport, the lilacs are fabulous. I even rolled down my window to try to catch a whiff. Not that my yard is so pretty, but I'm having a hard time thinking about leaving it too. I'll just have to enjoy a few planter boxes I guess.
Isn't it funny, when we ever think about moving one of the first thoughts is 'what about the yard?'. It is so nice to have a place that you can see where your hard work paid off and then enjoy it. Have a happy & plentiful gardening year.
I love all the blossoming trees... Ours is still a bright pink color!! Love it!!
I really related to your thoughts here. I love those kinds of days! I miss having a beautiful view to look at from my house. But I don't have to go very far down the street to see the pretty mountains here. They are especially green and gorgeous right now!
