Last night on my way home from work, I passed a truck with a sheep camploaded on the back of it. At that moment the strangest thing happened. I could smell the sheep camp that we used to play in as children when it was parked at the pellet mill parking lot. That sheep camp wasn't as sophisticated as the one in this picture, but we thought it was so fun to play in. There were funky little cupboards and some weird little places to sit and sleep. Anyway, what a blast to the past.

was the smell good or bad?
(I like little moments like that. things that you thought you had long forgotten come back so real you can't believe you could forget. kinda like those times when you are somewhere with people you love and the thought goes through your mind, "there is no way I could ever forget this moment. it's too special." but then, after it's over for a while there is no memory of the moment, or not as vivid as you were so sure it would be. that's why we need to write those moments down. they are too precious to forget, but sometimes it's just so hard to remember.)
ok. that's all for today.
have a nice Sunday. it's so beautiful outside!
Hey, I remember playing in that old sheep camp that G&G Furness had parked behind their house. It was so fun to play in there, but looking back I'm suprised we didn't all get Haunta Virus because there were mice nests in there. Oh well...good memories anyway.
I think that is the same sheep camp that Katie and I locked ourselves in for hours! I was so scared.
That sheep camp was mom and dad's first home in Mud Lake. They lived in it until they built the basement house. I think Stan Hawkins has it now. Ellen
That is a cute picture! I remember that sheep camp at Gma's too! It was always so fun... but I did wonder about the smell even back then.
