The Weather Outside Is Frightful

The wind is blowing like crazy & we got the snow we wanted
to make the lights & garlands look wintery and beautiful.
Now, we'd like the wind and the snow to stop. (it hasn't yet)

Winter is outside, but inside our house is Christmas. My
favorite! We put up one less tree this year because Jay
says we're too old to do all that work. (maybe we are)


I like snowmen and Santa's the best.

Oh, and I like soldiers, too. I found a new one that was an

Uncle Sam. I refrained and didn't get him, though.

These are my Santas. I just love each one.

I'm trying not to buy new decorations, because I have so many all ready. I couldn't resist just one more Santa, though. The 2008 Santa is the one that says St. Nick on the bottom. It looks like one of my older ones is trying to take center stage, though. He's special because one of the vendors at Mini made him from a chunk from an old fence post. I love Santas.

This nativity is one that Jay bought for me at our old grocery, ADL a few years ago. For some reason the kids got the biggest kick out of that. Anyway, it is one of my favorite. I just love Joseph and Mary, and especially Baby Jesus.

The weather is frightful, but we do have good reason to celebrate and enjoy family and the birth of our Saviour. I can't wait for our Musical Christmas program on Sunday. It always truly gets me in the SPIRIT of Christmas.
