A Couple Things...maybe 3

We seem to have just one kind of bird that lives here at this new place.  I'm not complaining, because I have always kind of watched for robins throughout my life.  The robins here are plentiful.  They aren't pesky like some birds that hang around, but there are just tons of them.  We have one that built her nest in an ornamental tree right out our front door.  She is trying to protect her nest of eggs at about 2 feet from the ground.  The tree is really short, and we can see her on the nest from the window.  She just looks like she should be in a Dr. Seuss book for sure.  We need to name her.  Then we have another robin...maybe he's the Dad....that sits on the windowsill of the office and just hangs out quite a bit of the day.
Then, last Friday I figured out that I am once again the victim of credit card fraud.  The killer was that it isn't only on one card, but two!  Both cards are in my wallet, so go figure that one out.  Chase is taking care of it nicely, but my Macy's card isn't quite so easy.  First of all they aren't open during the times when I remember to call and second of all they haven't even stopped my card yet.  There are new Amazon.com charges again today.  I called them on Friday to report and I really thought they'd put a hold on the card.  I tried calling againg this morning, and they weren't open yet.  (what credit card company isn't open at 8am?)  At least this person is only charging about $30.00 per time.  (3 charges so far)  My first time to experience credit card fraud was last October (that one was $1200.00 in Western Union charges sent to a Federal Prison) and now I've got two more.  What's this world coming to?
Then, my last thought for the day..... is how many people feel responsible for breaking something while shopping in a store?  I just wonder that after a day of several mishaps at the store and not one person offers to pay for the damages.  Most of them actually say something that makes it seem like it's our own fault.  It's our fault that you let your child pick up a large ceramic chicken??  hmmmm
It seems like we'll go the longest time with no breakage, then we get a bunch in one day.  The way I see it, we have three kinds of shoppers when they break something.  1.  the kind that quickly walks away as if nothing happened,  2.  the kind that is mad at you that it happened, and 3.  the kind that is so sorry and can't quit apologizing.  Which kind are you?
I'm really not in a bad mood today or anything....just have a couple things on my mind.
p.s. sorry so long

I'm the apologize and offer to pay for it type. I don't like and don't understand the other types. They are weird.

And...I've been laughing sort of to myself (since I'm traveling alone) but Europeans seem to keep their kids in strollers until they are about 10 years old...maybe a little excessive but would definitely keep kids from "accidentaly" picking up ceramic chickens.

i feel dumb and apologize and offer to pay. if my child did it, i am mad at my child and still offer to pay. i was raised with the "you break it, you buy it" rule of thumb. what's with people refusing to take responsibility for their actions? guess that's kind of our society these days.

I like robins too, but that bird better hope you didn't bring any of your herd of cats from Mud Lake.
Her eggs and/or babies won't last long with a nest at that height. Doesn't she know it's all about location, location, location?

Too bad about the fraud problem again. Sheesh!

I am the kind of shopper that is mad at MYSELF if I break something. I offer to pay.

Now, about Geri's second comment ...Is that a confession? Ger??????

1. Penny is her name. William is her husbands name.
2. I want to know Geri's reason.
3. Mad that I didn't dump my kid off on my friend and had to take him shopping with me in the first place. Then I pay for it.
(Honestly, I'd be very embarrassed, say sorry, pay for it, get the heck out of there.)

Ruby is nice...

I've had random charges on my card before too, but they were quickly fixed. Still no fun.

I, too, am embarrassed, pay for it and leave.
