My Yankee Fan is Back!!

Jay got a chance to go to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown. Jared has a close friend, whose father is Joe "Flash" Gordon and she invited Jared & a few friends to attend the induction ceremonies for her Dad. People from the Yankee's arranged for him to be nominated into the legendary Cooperstown Baseball Hall of Fame. Anyway, because of that association, and a lot of hard work on Jared's part, they got the trip of their lives. This photo is one of the "Legend Halls" in the Yankee Stadium
Jay could hardly believe all the cool baseball stuff that he was walking around while in Philadelphia, New York and Cooperstown. A baseball lovers dream come true. The Yankee's treated Jay, Jared, Jeremie, Dirk & Steve royal, providing them with the owners personal boxed seats for all the games they watched while in NYC, etc....including their own chef.

Jay says the Statue is awesome. He was truly impressed.
Jay's first time to see Ellis Island, the Liberty Bell, and some great Constitution Exhibits. He is very proud of his country, too. He said it was every bit as great as he thought it would be. After being gone 9 days, he was exited about his trip, and loved it all, but sure was glad to get home. Yea for Jay. He deserved this trip & I'm glad he got the awesome opportunity.
After spending 9 days living and breathing baseball, I wondered if he'd come home and turn on a game........ Yup.

Wow..how cool was that? I bet you wish you could have gone too, huh? It's starting to dawn on me that if we're going to do all the things and see any of the places that we want to see in this lifetime, maybe we better start making them happen. The years are flying by. Good for Jay!

I am sooo glad he had a great time.
I bet he will never forget it!
I HOPE Jared didn't do anything weird or make any gross noises in front of Dad to embarrass me. :)

He can now consider his life complete! (esp after our great family trip to twin)
Tell him sorry we didn't get to see the balancing rock. I know he was saying it was probably goingn to be his last time to have the chance. After a week and a half in New York he can probably get over seeing the rock.
Glad he is home and glad he had a great time!
