I've had a busy few weeks. First January, then February has come and gone! We've been working really hard at the store...first to get Christmas boxed and stored away, and I must say in record time. Sylvia is going through the entire store, redecorating, and it is coming right along. We even decided to take the time to paint the "kitchen" corner. (looks great, by the way) New paint has a way of making things look so much better. It's just so dang sad to walk out of that beautiful land of spring out into a snow storm....happened tonight by the way.
Then, there's the new church calling and all the meetings. A great big wow, there. I'll get used to it, sooner or later. I gotta say, the talent show we had for the "quarterly activity" last Friday was great. My favorites had to be the little girl that showed her dog (and it was a big dog) and it's dog tricks, the little boy playing the drums to a march played on his mom's boom box, and the little guy that stood on his head. (he is a Sunbeam) The musical numbers were good, too. We had piano, cello and violins. Anyway, gave me a whole new outlook on talent shows. (anything goes)Now, Jay's new job is watching the olympics. He tapes them and then watches them at night...with little excerpts of Glenn Beck mixed it. I truly like the Olympics, too, but I'm sorry....not watching the "Curling". Whoever made up that game has got to be bored.I think I'll be done with the Olympics a day or two before they are over. Sorry....just overloaded on the sports.
We missed the latest 4pm get-together at Chuckarama (the pneumonia ya know). It was for Valentines. We had take out that night....used one of our gift cert. to Jaker's. Excellent.
Maybe that's why I haven't blogged....we're just kinda boring. Oh well..it's how we do it.

That was a nice little update. I enjoyed it. I have to say that I have sort of missed the Olympics. They actually broadcast some of it here, but the commentators are speaking Portuguese. That is a bit of a problem. I can't seem to remember the channel that has them either, but I have bumped in to it when the skiers that shoot bows and arrows were competing (that might be called the Biathlon)and I was able to catch your favorite, curling, one night. Really, why is that an Olympic event?
Hope Jay feels better. It doesn't sound boring, just busy. Glad all is well.

I think we're all in a bit of a slump right now. I hope to get in to see what new and fun stuff you have for spring...I could use a pick-me-up. And I loved the part about the talent show...Primary is the funnest!
