MRI
Nobody ever told me about MRI's. I've had some problems with my hip for the past few months, and after going to the doctor ended up going for an MRI. I thought, "No big deal." I put on one of their extremely large robes and laid down on the little bench that the doctor pointed out to me. He pushed a button and my bench headed into a round tube. When I was in there up to my neck, I put one arm out and said, "Hey, wait a second. I need you to back this thing up and let me out of here for a minute." He did that and looked at me like, "what's your problem?" I asked him if anybody besides me ever had trouble going into the machine. He told me he could get me a prescription for valium and I could come back on a day when someone could drive me home afterwards. I asked him to give me a minute to get comfortable and drive the claustrophobic thoughts out of my head. Then, I shut my eyes tight, had him flip the switch and I tried to keep my mind on something else for the next 30 minutes. When I found out that most people go in head first, I got nauseous. And I think MRI's are hard.

First I still think it is funny you didn't now what you were getting "in" to. No pun intended.
Second I'm so glad you got some pills for your next time around.
I hope they can figure out how to help you!!
Sorry, but grandma and I were just talking about and kind of laughing about your little predicament. She told me you were afraid the power would go out and you'd get stuck in there. I want to assure you however, that hospitals have backup generators and they won't just leave you in the tube and head off to lunch or home for the night if the power goes out. Good luck though for next time. I bet the meds will help. Let me know if you need a ride home. I'm soooooo busy but I think I could squeeze you into my schedule!
I hope you can find out what is causing your problem without having to do that too many more times and I hope I never have to do it.
I'm afraid I would feel the same way if I ever had to do an MRI. Don't love the procedures that take me out of my comfort zone. Hope your hip feels better..
